Role Summary:
As the Vice President of Marketing for our B2B SaaS company, you will play a pivotal role in driving our go-to-market strategy and achieving our Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) objectives. You will lead initiatives to tell our story, create demand, enhance brand visibility, and establish Foresight Works as a leading player in digital infrastructure. This role requires a pragmatic, execution-focused leader with a proven track record of building high performance marketing functions within startups.
It's expected ABM, Product Marketing, and Event Marketing will form the backbone of the marketing strategy with an aspiration to track the true impact marketing is having on revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Collaborate closely with SLT members to define key target audiences, buyer personas, target accounts to be able to effectively communicate FSWs high impact message to market
- Develop focused and effective go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Capture key customer insights to establish customer motivators and “propensity to buy” to optimise future campaigns and tactics
- Demand Generation:
- Lead the planning, execution, and measurement of lead generation activities that fuel pipeline growth via effective nurture programmes that increases customer awareness, builds trust, and facilitates the sales journey.
- Establish ABM as one of the core pillars of the marketing strategy to engage high touch prospects with highly relatable and valuable content
- Focus on top-of-the-funnel programs that align with the buyer’s journey while tracking leads through to revenue.
- Product Marketing:
- Establish Product Marketing as a core pillar within the wider marketing plan.
- Work closely with the Product team to deeply understand our offerings, key features, and target use cases.
- Oversee creation of compelling marketing messages, develop product positioning, and highlight competitive differentiators.
- Support SLT with the content to evangelise FSW with all customers.
- Content Marketing:
- Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging content such as blogs, webinars, case studies, and whitepapers.
- Educate potential customers and showcase our unique approach to digital infrastructure and large-scale project management.
- Event Marketing:
- Plan and execute marketing activities for industry events, conferences, and private events to raise brand awareness and generate leads – 10-15 events expected in 2025.
- Implement robust data capture and measurement practices to evaluate event ROI.
- Brand Development:
- Define and maintain a strong, consistent brand image for FSW.
- Manage strategic Public Relations (PR) and Analyst Relations (AR) relationships to increase brand awareness and establish FSW as a thought leader.
- Marketing Operations:
- Ensure that our marketing systems (HubSpot), infrastructure, and data provide valuable insights to support consistent growth.
- Website and CMS management
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting on the marketing team’s performance against objectives.
- Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team across the above functions.
- Make strategic decisions on in-house resources and outsourcing to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in marketing, with leadership roles in high-growth startups or early-stage companies ($0-10million ARR stage growth experience preferred).
- Expertise: Proven success in go-to-market strategies, in particular demand generation and ABM, product marketing, and event management.
- Execution-Focused: Pragmatic and hands-on, with a strong bias for action and the selection of tactics to deliver results in early-stage companies.
- Data-Driven: Skilled in using analytics to inform decision-making and evaluate marketing effectiveness.
- Hands-on Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build a greenfield opportunity, recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
- Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with Enterprise B2B SaaS, Project Management SaaS AND /OR digital infrastructure industry knowledge is a plus!
- Global Markets: Experience in both European and US markets
